First on the McCain article, I spent four years in the Marine Corps with 2.5 of those years overseas, so naturally I have a great deal of respect for John McCain and his wife. That is respect for John McCain as a naval fighter pilot, the POW who survived 5 years in a Vietnamese prison camp, for achieving the rank of Captain in the Navy and for producing 2 sons who are currently serving in the military. As a politician (and the same for politics in general), I couldn’t care less. I used to be all for voting, interested in world issues and actually believed our leaders were looking out for our, and our country’s best interest. This is not the case. Our government is run through nepotism along with political and big business alliances. These factors bring scores of riches to a select few families while securing, and ensuring, their reign throughout the steady decline of fossil fuels and energy sources.
Moreover, since WWII the corruption within the upper echelons of government has facilitated all of America’s imperialist actions. The catalyst of this corruption is the world energy crisis. Peak Oil (google it) is real and in order to secure America’s dominance in the future America must control ALL the energy sources. Ever wonder why we are really in Iraq? Ever wonder why we are really in Afghanistan? If you believe it is because we want to liberate other cultures and prosecute terrorists, you are wrong. Isn’t it interesting that Japan was going to surrender weeks before we dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Isn’t it funny that last year in Mexico a C-130 aircraft went down and on board they found 500 tons of cocaine along with 3 dead CIA operatives? Important economic and strategic decision made for the country are usually not specifially good for the whole country at that time, they are usually part of a bigger scheme. What they don’t report on in the mainstream media is the money laundering on Wall Street, the CIA drug trafficking enterprise (which is a $600-$700 billion dollar a year empire) or Dick Cheney’s connections with Brown & Root and Halliburton’s dominance in the Middle East. Do some research and you'll find that 'The CIA is Wall Street, and Drug Money is King.' All im saying is that if you are interested in politics don’t listen to the biased media, educate yourself through books and learn the real stories and history which dictate the course of world history and power.

They always say, "this is the most important blah blah of our time."
Well maybe it is, and maybe it isn't. But this team of Drexel University students will get into it summer of 2008 (while we're not at the beach, or soaking up the free AC at the library)...
Get into IT.
Into the nooks and crannies, the issues the media has forgotten because a cat got stuck in a tree, or a congressman was caught with his pants down.
Issues not invective.
