Choose 08...intro...

They always say, "this is the most important blah blah of our time."

Well maybe it is, and maybe it isn't. But this team of Drexel University students will get into it summer of 2008 (while we're not at the beach, or soaking up the free AC at the library)...

Get into IT.

Into the nooks and crannies, the issues the media has forgotten because a cat got stuck in a tree, or a congressman was caught with his pants down.

Issues not invective.

20 something voices start June 24th.

My Girl Cindy

As stated in my introductory post I have never been interested in politics. I don't know anything about the candidates and I am a little ashamed to say that I, before reading the article, had no idea who Cindy McCain was. After reading this article I have come to the conclusion that it is extremely important to know the ins and outs of our political candidates.
I have never been interested in politics because I can never stay engaged in the serious discussions that run on channels like CNN. I can however, slowly get involved in politics by reaching my candidates on a more personal level. I think that it is a very good idea for candidates to have more personal articles about them released because it builds a closer relationship between the candidates and the voters. The voters want a future representative of the country to be someone that we know very well. They are not perfect and neither are their family members or spouses.
Cindy McCain was thrown into the spotlight unwillingly and I think that she has been very brave throughout the whole ordeal up to this time. She is a human being and unfortunately had a weakness, but she has clearly grown from that experience. Seeing that she is still a successful woman with good intentions shows the American public that you can fight through difficult times. She should take advantage of the lessons that she has learned from her struggles with her addiction and use that as a platform to reach people.
