Choose 08...intro...

They always say, "this is the most important blah blah of our time."

Well maybe it is, and maybe it isn't. But this team of Drexel University students will get into it summer of 2008 (while we're not at the beach, or soaking up the free AC at the library)...

Get into IT.

Into the nooks and crannies, the issues the media has forgotten because a cat got stuck in a tree, or a congressman was caught with his pants down.

Issues not invective.

20 something voices start June 24th.

Intro and McCain life

I would love to say I'm a great writer but I'm far from it. I need a lot of help and if I could I would probably never take another English class ever again. Nothing against the class I'm just not a fan of writing. But I will do my best to write well.

I don't really follow politics all that much but I do know a little about whats going on. As for Mrs. McCain I have a lot of respect for what she has been able to do on her own. For someone who is set for life financially she completely went out of her way to make a difference in the world and go beyond what she needed to do. Even though she made mistakes with the abuse of pain-killers she still made it a point to do the right thing. For someone who pretty much never saw her husband she stayed loyal and stuck by whatever he chose to do as well as supported him. The part about politics I hate the most is the defaming technique politicians use to make their opponents look bad even if the person they are defaming isn't the one running. I felt bad for Mrs. McCain and her child. She is very brave to go through the ordeal of having a private life turned into a public tv show, in which every aspect of her life is picked apart. Me personally i don't think I would be able to handle being in the spot light the way she has been. Even through all she has been through she has found a way to learn from every experience and use that to better prepare herself for future situations.

A professor once told me: If at first you focus on writing well, you probably won't ever write anything. If you focus on simply writing [your thoughts down], you'll write everything you need to, that the polishing from editing will eventually turn into something that is well-written.

Don't think or invision of your desired end result or the expected end result, as far as your writing goes. This is coming from my psychology background -- in regards to motivation (primarily self motivation). If you think of yourself as a "weak writer", than you'll never be satisfied with your writing, which could in fact be filled with quality of a very high caliber.

Your writing is a mere reflection of your thoughts. (Writing = Written Thoughts). I find that when I need to write something down, it best helps to consider who my thoughts are being read by. For this blog, a peer-to-peer "switchboard"... I feel that your writing is good and very suitable.
